Dr Prerika SharmaPrerika (she/her) is a compassionate person who wishes to form meaningful connections with clients within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. She values openness and creativity in her practice, and uses multiple evidence-based modalities to best support a client.
Prerika is interested in working with adolescents and their families, and has had experience working with young persons in clinical and non-clinical settings. She also has a keen interest in working with clients who experience physical health difficulties (e.g., chronic pain, sexual difficulties) and hope to further understand their mind-body connection. Prerika is a graduate of the Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) from Monash University and a provisional psychologist. She conducted her doctoral research on traumatic experiences and the nature of memory. She is committed to being a sex positive, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, neurodiversity affirming, and culturally-inclusive practitioner. She is conversationally fluent in Hindi. |
